1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Mentor ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by
these terms of service. If you do not accept these terms,
please do not use the application.
2. Service Description
Mentor is a personal coaching application powered by artificial intelligence.
The service allows you to:
- Chat with an AI coach to reflect and define your goals
- Track your progress through a personalized journal
- Receive insights and recommendations based on your conversations
- Access premium features through subscription
⚠️ Important: Mentor is a personal development tool and does not replace
a mental health professional, doctor, or therapist.
For serious mental health issues, please consult a qualified professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mentor.
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. User Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activities performed through your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to compromise the security of the service
- Extract or copy AI-generated content for commercial purposes
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others
- Share your account with other people
6. User Content
You retain ownership of your conversations and data.
By using the service, you grant us a license to:
- Process your messages through our AI service (Claude/Anthropic)
- Store your conversations securely
- Generate insights based on your conversations
We will never publicly share your conversations or sell them to third parties.
7. Artificial Intelligence
Responses generated by Mentor are created by an AI model (Claude from Anthropic).
While we strive to provide helpful advice:
- Responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
- The AI cannot provide medical or therapeutic diagnosis
- Advice does not replace professional opinion
- Use your judgment and consult professionals when necessary
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Mentor offers a free trial period of 1 month, followed by optional premium subscriptions:
- Free Trial: 1 month access to all premium features
- Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly, cancel anytime
- Annual Subscription: Billed yearly with savings
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and RevenueCat:
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account
- Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play settings
- No refunds for partial months/years
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain 24/7 service availability, but:
- The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
- We may modify or discontinue the service at any time
10. Termination
By you:
- You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete Account)
- Deletion is permanent and all your data will be erased
- Cancel subscriptions separately through Google Play
By us:
- We may suspend or close your account for violating these terms
- We will notify you by email except in cases of legal emergency
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mentor and its creators will not be liable for:
- Direct, indirect, or consequential damages related to service use
- Data loss or service interruption
- Actions taken based on AI advice
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
12. Intellectual Property
The application, its code, design, and content (excluding user content)
are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to Mentor.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time.
Significant changes will be notified through:
- In-app notification
- Email to your registered address
- Update of the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by French law.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of French courts.
